You have questions. We have answers.
The foot is a complex structure, with 26 bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments, 19 muscles, and
tendons that hold the structure together. Seventy-five percent of all Americans experience
foot or ankle problems at some time during their lives. Many health conditions, such as
diabetes, arthritis, nerve or circulatory disorders and others, show initial symptoms in a
patient’s feet. At Orthopaedic Health Network’s free half-day seminar, “Contemporary
Issues of the Foot & Ankle,” you’ll learn about the anatomy of the foot and ankle,
the injuries and conditions you’re likely to encounter, the latest treatment modalities, as
well as new approaches and materials for wound care. It’s your opportunity to learn from
experts, ask questions, and enhance your ability to serve the growing number of patients
who need foot or ankle care.
A chance to consult with experts.
Now more than ever, patients presenting symptoms of foot or ankle problems are turning
to their primary care provider for help. As a result, the responsibility for initially evaluating
and managing these patients often falls to you.
Orthopaedic Health Network invites you to attend a free, half-day seminar that will assist
you in recognizing many common foot and ankle problems, so you can better determine
which tests to order, how to initiate and guide treatment, and when to refer to a specialist.
The seminar will feature physicians from Orthopaedic Health Network, including experts
from Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. The topics
have been selected to be of specific interest to Primary Care Providers. Whether you’re
a Physician, a Physician Assistant, a Nurse Practitioner or a Physical Therapist, this free
seminar is the perfect opportunity to consult with the experts.
